If you've been reading my blog a while, you know we always vacation on Tybee Island and have been for many years. It's my favorite place on earth.
We're lucky enough to make the trip several times a year. One of them being in February when we go down to celebrate Ms. Sylvia's birthday and Jeff's too. This year Ms. Sylvia turned 101 and Jeff turned 48.
Ms. Sylvia passed away peacefully yesterday. Her wishes were to be cremated and her ashes spread out over the water.
We were lucky to have hand the acquaintance of such a special and unique person. She lived life to its fullest and was an inspiration to me. Even though the numbers say you're old, and sometimes you might not feel the best, you need to get out there and enjoy your life, whether it's shaking a maraca or anything else that you love to do. Ms. Sylvia did and she really enriched the lives of the visitors of Doc's Bar.
She was the epitome of Living, Loving and Laughing.
Rest in peace, sweet Ms. Sylvia. We'll miss seeing you in your own little corner of Doc's.

So sorry to hear about the passinf of your special friend. She'll live on forever in the winds of your special place!
Oh Kelly, I knew what it was when I saw the title! I didn't meet Ms. Sylvia but I sat at that bar and talked about her with the bartender! We should all be so lucky to live that long and REALLY LIVE like she did! Age is just a number and she enjoyed her life! Rest in Peace Ms Sylvia! I love what Lynda said, "She'll live on forever in the winds of your special place"! So true Lynda!
Love you all!
Oh so sorry for your loss...but what a wonderful life she lived!! {{{{HUGS}}}}
Love you bunches!
I am sorry about your friend, but she lived a long and productive life, God bless her family as they move on without her. We spent our 50th anniversary on Tybee Island, it was nice, hugs my friend, Barbara
The secret to a long happy life... living, loving and laughing. Your post really hit me today. Sometimes when we aren't feeling so good... we tend to feel very old. But your post shows me numbers don't matter. Look at Ms. Sylvia. She enjoyed the quality of her life. New way to look at life! Not just look... but live! Thank you! xoxo
She sounds like a wonderful lady. How cool to have lived so long and so FULL
How cool that you will always have such wonderful memories of her
and you'll always think of her and she'll be a part of you every time you go back there
I haven't been in blog land regularly lately, so sorry to hear about your friend. She sounds like a wonderful person.
Don't forget Santana's Black Magic Woman! I think that and the Monster Mash are my favorites, though I love Purple People Eater!
