Before I Became A Girl Named Kelly Kelly Part 2

I had bought two tickets to the Atlanta Falcons game to be played on October 12th, my birthday, at the old Atlanta-Fulton County Stadium. Of course, since Jeff and I were dating when I bought the tickets, I invited him to go along with me. After the breakup, I sorta uninvited him. I remember that clearly. I also remember the dozen roses that he sent me to my office for my birthday.

Who wants to go to a football game alone on their birthday? Not me. Commonsense would tell you that a girl just broken up with someone she thought she was in love with should call her best girlfriend to go with her. Idiocy told me to call an old boyfriend. That's what I did. I called a very old boyfriend. In fact, my very first boyfriend and one I dated for several years through high school and about a year after I got out.

He agreed to go with me. I remember almost every single gory detail of that awful date. He picked me up in a new Grand Am. He thought I'd be so impressed when he revved the big engine. Uh, no, guess I'd grown up since our last date. Also since our last date, he had picked up the charming habit of smoking. He cussed like a drunk sailor and drove with his shoes off. What the heck was that about?

After spending four months with a complete gentleman, I was tortured spending four hours with this nut. My parents were tortured, too, because he wasn't a favorite of theirs. As the old saying goes, he really brought nothing to the table. Loserville. I'm sure they thought the old sparks would reignite.

Finally, the rainy game was over and he brought me home. Ah, home. Did I invite him in? No. Did I ask him to call me sometime? H*#* no. I made a quick dash out of the car, no goodbye kiss, no nothing. Just get the heck out as quickly as I could into the safety of my house.

It was early evening and it was my birthday. I was sad and I was lonely. I knew what I wanted to do. I picked up the phone and called Jeff. Lucky for me, he was home. I asked him if he wanted to come over and bring some ice cream and apple pie and spend the rest of my birthday with me.

TO BE CONTINUED

Till tomorrow. LLL.

It is funny how we are related and don't know details of things like this! I am really enjoying the story! Maybe you will start something and everyone can open up their stories of marriages or anything else that has happened over the years! Some bloggers are opening up their houses and showing pictures! "Tell your marriage story" would be an interesting topic! Have a wonderful day!

I am loving the before I became a girl named Kelly Kelly saga. I also have to tell you...I have started making pictures of my feet when I go somewhere...it is like a chronicle...and all because of your sandy little picture in flip flops with blue toe nails. I have started ending each trip with a feet picture...LOL
