Just a Day in the Life

I had a job today not too far from where Suz lives, so she and I had lunch at On the Border in Buford to celebrate Cinco de Mayo. We were rolling along with good girl talk and munching on good food and drink. Life was good. If you ever have a chance to eat there, I do recommend it. I love Mexican food and theirs is really very good. To me anyway.

We had finished our lunch and were just chatting away about this and that. The next thing I knew, my tooth fell out. Yep. You read that right. My tooth fell right out of my mouth. My whole entire tooth. And not a back tooth either. One right smack in the front of my mouth! Several years ago, I had porcelain crowns on all my front teeth. I have very bad, weak teeth. Luckily, I didn't swallow the tooth. I did almost pass out though.

I was trying very, very hard not to panic. However, as you can see from this picture, it was extremely hard to do. Suz's sister-in-law is a dental hygienist and thank heaven they were able to work me in and temporarily fix it. I've got to see an oral surgeon and have an implant. Ouchy wa wa ! It will require being put to sleep and blah, blah, blah. Too bad it was Cinco de Mayo instead of Halloween. I had some great "Bubba Teeth."

Suz had some work she needed to get out today, so I just came home after the dental scare. Truly, I really wasn't in the mood to do anything except come home and take a nerve pill. (Not that I have any, but if I did, I'd have surely taken one or two today!)

Y'all know I'm a flip flop fanatic. I love them and I have found a brand that I absolutely love more than any other I've ever tried. I got one pair last year and have worn them so much. Oh, my, if those flip flops could talk. The places they've been, the fun they've had. Anyway, I ordered another pair and they came UPS today.

I think they're so pretty. One of the great things about these flip flops is that they are so colorful and you can wear them with so many different things, so you don't have to have 50 pairs of flip flops. Just a few nice pair. The picture just doesn't do them justice. They're even more beautiful in real life. And they are beyond comfortable. I am a picky shoe person, but these wear great. The colors are so vibrant. I can't wait to introduce my new Douglas Paquettes to the beach in a few weeks!

Last week I found a shop on Etsy.com that I fell in love with. She sells the cutest handmade jewelry you've ever seen. And her prices are so reasonable. I wanted one of everything. As it was, I only bought this. . .

It's the turquoise hibiscus spinner ring. I paid $11 and $2 shipping. I ordered it Sunday and got it today!

After getting my packages in the mail, I wasn't as upset about the whole tooth thing.

Whew. . . what a day in the Life of A Girl Named Kelly Kelly!

Oh you poor child! That shocked me and I laughed my head off! Not that it is funny that you lost your tooth, and not that it is funny that you have to be put to sleep and not that it is funny that you had to finish eating your lunch minus a tooth but.. to scroll down and see your cute self with that big smile and a missing tooth well let's just say I almost wet my pants! Thanks for the entertainment! I love the flip flops and the cute ring! Love you and let me know if you need a chauffeur when you get you bubba teef fixed:)

I'm sooo glad you were able to get it fixed, even if only temporarily. Thanks for lunch and for brightening my day.
Love you lots :0)
