Ain't it Nice

Cam brought some friends over this afternoon. One of them was one of his buds that's going to Florida for Spring Break with us. The other was a friend that's a girl that he's been seeing quite a bit of lately. Like a real lot. Like a whole lot. It was the first time that I had met her. Ain't it nice when your son brings home a nice girl? It's like breathing a big sigh of relief. Ahhh. I mean, you raise them, and you think you're doing a pretty good job, but when it comes to the opposite sex, well, you're just never really sure how that's gonna go. Could end up something like this. . .
I was quite happy. They are only 16 and a half, but still. She was a pretty and sweet girl. I think that she and Cam have a lot in common. She's real outdoorsy, even drives a truck. Sorta made me wish I had a daughter. Coincidentally, her friend that also came along was in Cam's third grade class and I immediately recognized her. I was the room mom back then and spent a lot of time in the classroom. It was neat to see what a pretty girl she has grown into. The four of them went down the street to the lake and fished for a while. Cam caught one fish. The others didn't catch anything. I don't think they were fishing very hard.
Worked my booty off today getting ready for South Georgia tomorrow. I had a few loose ends to tie up for work too. Haven't done a thing to get ready for the beach. Guess I'll do that tomorrow night when we get home.
Got 12 comments on my 111th post. Ha! Wouldn't that have been funny if it have been 11? I'm gonna draw for the winner tonight. I'll letcha know who it was and who'll be getting some of A Girl Named Kelly Kelly's favorite things.
Till next time, live, love, laugh.

I can't believe you didn't sneak a photo of the girl:) Cam would have probably been embarassed to death. We missed you at the party but enjoyed your Mom. It was a blast and had tons of food. Have fun at your Kimball Easter celebration and be careful! Love you, the one NOT going to the beach.

I love being the first comment. And isn't it fun to watch the kids grow up --to teens, to adults, to beautiful people.

The only nice girl my oldest son ever brought home.....ended up being my adopted daughter. I could pinch his nose off for the others he's dragged in since. Ugh....boys!!

Glad you aren't having this problem.

That invitation was sooo funny! I'm sending it to Amanda. We joke that is probably how she'll be with Andrew.

Well, you do know that Cameron simply must have a top-notch gal or I will have to kick her butt to the curb! No messing with him..
I know he's been bit by the love bug.

That invitation was hilarious. I can't imagine any girl being good enough for my son, but I also can't imagine my son picking anyone who was less than the best. He's too awesome for that.
