Swim Anyone?

Eli, Suz and I had the most fun at Chuck E. Cheese yesterday. We played air hockey most of the time. That was Eli's favorite game. He used almost all of his tokens on that one game. He's pretty good at it too. He beat me about 9 out of 10 games. Sadly, I tell you that I really wasn't even trying to let him win either. I just stink at sports. Is air hockey a sport? If it's not, maybe it should be. He was quite proud of himself. The one time that I won, he thought that maybe the the next game he should play his mom. I almost missed Chuck E. Cheese because I got stuck in a depo. I wanted to slug the witness and everyone else in the room. He just kept going on and on and on. How could he not know I had a handsome five-year-old waiting on me? I stayed the rest of the afternoon in Buford and celebrated his birthday with everyone else when they got home. For his birthday supper, Eli chose Waffle House. Suz made him a hunky pie made with fresh strawberries. It was yummy. Good times. No, not good. . . Great times.
The pool liner finally went in yesterday afternoon. It was pouring down rain yesterday morning and I just knew it was gonna get put off again. Thankfully, though, they were able to come out and do it. It looks even better than I thought it would. We've been running water in it since late yesterday afternoon. I snapped this picture just before I started this post, so you can see how much water it has in it already. I CANNOT wait to get out there and plant some flowers. It's so windy here today, I'm expecting to look out there and see a piece of pool furniture floating in it! That happens sometimes.
I've got probably no less than a thousand pages to proof. I'm super stressed out because I don't want to work. I want to look at my pool, go get some flowers, get Eli's b'day present for his party Saturday, check out some other blogs and things on the internet, peruse my new Southern Living cooking magazine, basically ANYTHING except work. I'm going to have a go to Jesus meeting shortly and pray for the strength and motivation to get this work done. I am as unmotivated as I've been in a long time.
Till tomorrow, Happy Humpday, y'all!

I know that he is so happy to have to around to play air hockey with and I just hope he doesn't talk smack like Alex does when she and I are bowling!!! She kicks my butt playing that game and she lets me know it!! Well I hope that you got all your work done! That pool is just beautiful...sending my donation SOON!!! Love you lots!!

Cool pool --I bet it takes forever to fill up. It is snowing here in Utah, so a pool seems like heaven right now.
